08:30. Our private guide and vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi for your trip to Mai Chau, a beautiful valley inhabited by the Thai ethnic people in Hoa Binh Province. This is an authentic hill tribe region and a fantastic base for trekking and home stay adventures.

Upon arrival, visit Mai Hich village which you can explore by cycle or on foot, or you may prefer to wander along countryside lanes passing vegetable gardens, ponds and rice terraces; experience local daily life and the communities which rely on agricultural farming and livestock rearing.

In the afternoon, after lunch at a local homestay, transfer to your hotel for check in.

08:00. Check out after breakfast and drive to Moc Chau. At an altitude of 1,000m above sea level, it is much loved for its pleasant temperatures, averaging 20 degrees celsius even in the height of summer, tea plantation hills and ethnic minority villages.

The first stop is Phieng Canh village in Tan Lap commune, a beautiful village of the H’mong people, nestled among huge plum tree groves in a picturesque valley. Walk along wide paths and tracks, passing by houses of the local people designed in an ancient architectural style, rustic and beautiful. These houses are surrounded by large plum gardens, and front porches bordered by stone fences. 

Trek for about 7 km along the roads and lanes leading through mustard fields and orchards to Na Ka valley, a unique paradise of plum trees. In the blossom season from the end of January to early February, flowers and trees are in full bloom across the entire valley, turning Na Ka into a beautiful white fairyland flower paradise.

After the walk, meet your private vehicle and transfer to A Chu Homestay in Hua Tat village for check in and a home-hosted lunch.

Afternoon and evening at your leisure. Dinner by your own arrangement.

Overnight in Moc Chau.

08:30. Check out after breakfast and enjoy a short 45-minute hike along pine tree trails in Hua Tat village. On the way to the top of the hill you will see many different kinds of plantations and animals, such as goats and buffalo. Towards the end of the trail, pass by some H'mong houses and this is a chance to meet the friendly villagers. On top of the hill, enjoy the breath-taking views, the fresh air and immerse yourself in the peaceful nature before walking back to your homestay. 

Next, visit the H'mong paper workshop to join a great 1.5 hour hands on class to learn about the papermaking process and you can take a piece of Hmong paper away with you as a souvenir.

Back to A Chu Homestay for lunch.

In the afternoon, return to Hanoi by private vehicle.
