08:00. Meet your tour guide at the hotel lobby in Hanoi and begin your motorbike trip to Ha Giang town, the capital of Ha Giang Province. This is the northernmost province of Vietnam, considered the rooftop of Vietnam. Ha Giang town is one of the highest towns in the country, surrounded by steep hilly terrain with stunning views of the mountains of northern Vietnam and China (across the border). Stop on the way to take photos of the landscape and villages.

Arrive Ha Giang town. Check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure.

09:00. Check-out of the hotel after breakfast. Depart for Pa Vi Ha village in Meo Vac District in Ha Giang Province located in a smallish valley surrounded by rocky mountains. at the foot of Ma Pi Leng Pass with a total area of up to 46,000 m2.   

Arrive Pa Vi Ha village and enter a world of peace and relaxation. This area is one framed by majestic mountains and forests, and buckwheat fields, interspersed with small houses of the H’mong local ethnic people. 

Check-in to your homestay. Rest of the day at your leisure to explore the village.

Distance: Pa Vi Ha-Dong Van: 17 kilometers; Dong Van-Ha Giang City: 150 kilometers

08:00. After breakfast at your local homestay, check-out and travel to Dong Van town, nestled in a valley, the heart of the Dong Van Stone Plateau in Ha Giang Province. On the way, we will come to Ma Pi Leng Pass, located between Meo Vac Commune and Dong Van, which is probably the most impressive mountain pass in Vietnam.   

Next comes a boat trip along the Nho Que River at the foot of the Ma Pi Leng Pass. The river originates in the Yunnan mountainous region of China, and enters Vietnam at Seo Lung village, Lung Cu Commune, Dong Van District. The Nho Que River passes through Tu San Abyss Alley and runs along the Ma Pi Leng Pass, like a silk ribbon embracing Seo Lung village.

Continue on to Dong Van. Lunch at a local restaurant. 

Our tour in the afternoon takes us to Dong Van Old Quarter which dates from the early 20th century. Afterwards, visit Vuong Palace (also known as Vua Meo - King of the H’Mong) and Pao's house. Pao's house was featured in a famous Vietnamese movie of 2006 and has now become a must-see destination in Ha Giang Province. It is designed in a typical upland architectural style, embodying the simple way of life of the ethnic minority people in the area. 

Travel from Dong Van back to Ha Giang city. Check-in to your hotel.

Rest of the day at your leisure to explore the town.

08:00. Check-out after breakfast and head to Hoang Su Phi, an upland border district and one of the most beautiful areas of Ha Giang Province. The whole area is ‘painted’ in vibrant green colors. Down winding tracks you will feel closer to nature as you pass cascading rice terraces and valleys. 

Arrive Hoang Su Phi and check-in to your accommodation for the night. 

After a short rest head out for the day’s trek. Explore nearby mountains, local ethnic villages, walk through tropical forest areas and  past rice terraces. 
     
12 noon. Lunch in a local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, walk through cassava fields, bamboo tree and tea plantations, and a village of the "long dress" Dao.

17:00. Approximate arrival time back at your accommmodation. .

Overnight in Panhou Retreat 3 star or similar ones.

Distance: 270 kilometers

Check-out of your accommodation after breakfast. Riding on your motorbike to Ha Noi.
