20.00: Meet your private guide in your hotel lobby for your transfer to Ha Noi railway station to board the overnight train to Lao Cai.  Although nowadays many people take the express bus to Lao Cai, the train journey is still very special with the feeling of a bygone era and plenty of atmosphere.

05.30. Arrive at Lao Cai Railway Station. Disembark and meet your Sa Pa tour guide ourside the railway station who will take you to a local restaurant to refresh and have breakfast.

Next, we go to Sa Pa town on a drive uphill.

Sa Pa is located in Lao Cai Province in the Northwest region of Vietnam. At the height of 1,600 m above the sea level, the region’s temperatures are much lower than other parts of Vietnam. This is home to many ethnic minority groups such as the H’Mong, Dao (Yao), Giay, Xa Pho, and Tay. People love to visit Sa Ppa due to its mountains and terraced rice fields, and the cultures of the local people.

After an 18 km drive to Ban Lech village (of the Red Zao people), we set off for a trek along a narrow valley heading downhill for 2 hours to the Ngoi Bo River, then uphill for an hour to Muong Bo Village at the center of Thanh Phu Commune.

In the afternoon, trek gradually uphill to Nam Cum Village and then head to Sin Chai B village home to the Red Dao and check in to a local house  for your accommodation in the village.

After breakfast head off for today’s trek through terraced rice paddies, bamboo forests and villages of the Red Zao and Tay such as Sin Chai A, Nam Than, Nam Nhiu. Stop along the way to visit local homes, and schools.

In the afternoon, head to Ban Sai Village of Tay ethnic located near the center of Nam Sai Commune. Time to wander around and explore this village.

On the last day of the trek you will cross several suspension bridges and trek through lush rice paddy fields surrounded by stunning scenery. After Nam Sai, cross the river after paying visit to My Son – a village of the Xa Pho ethnic group and then follow a narrow trail uphill to Nam Keng. Continue to Nam Toong.

After, lunch in a local school, your private car will take you back to Sa Pa and then transfer by shuttle bus back to Ha Noi.

21.00: arrive Ha Noi and drop at your hotel. Trip ends.
