HA GIANG ROCKY MOUNTAIN - 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS

08:00. Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi and depart for Ha Giang city, the capital of Ha Giang Province. Ha Giang has the unique environmental landscape of a mountainous province with high mountains of cat ears in the north and vast forests in the south. Ha Giang city is one of the highest towns in the country, surrounded by steep hilly terrain with stunning views of the mountains of northern Vietnam and China (across the border).Being the northernmost point of Vietnam, the province shares the border with China. Its average height is from 800m – 1200m and above and gathering many hight mounts, Ha Giang is considered the rooftop of Vietnam. Besides, the place is residence of many ethnic minorities with 22 ethnic groups with diversity in customs, traditions, culture and very lively festivals that have made Ha Giang an attractive place to visit.

On this day, we enter the mountainous area of Ha Giang. On the Love National 4C, you will be attracted by the Bac Sum view point, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Fairy Mount. Drive down – hill to Lung Tam valley, get off your car for visiting Lung Tam, a long-standing traditional craft village of brocade weaving by the Hmong people.

Back to the main road, driving through the romantic pine forest Yen Minh to Pa Vi Ha village in Meo Vac. Located in a smallish valley surrounded by rocky mountain, at the foot of Ma Pi Leng Pass, this village is a destination with many unique cultural features of the Mong ethnic group.

The village has a total area of more than 46,000 m2, including 3 main areas with nearly 30 households living and doing community tourism. The village has a cultural house, a traditional display house of the Hmong people, and a hexagonal playground, which is used as a place for traditional cultural and artistic performances to preserve and promote the culture of Hmong people.

Arrive Pa Vi Ha village and enter a world of peace and relaxation. This area is one framed by majestic mountains and forests, and buckwheat fields, interspersed with small houses of the H’mong local ethnic people.

Dinner and overnight in Pa Vi Ha

After breakfast, check out the village for up-hill driving again to the most unbreathable pass of Vietnam, Ma Pi Leng. Located between Meo Vac Commune and Dong Van, it is probably the most impressive mountain pass in Vietnam. Take a boat trip along the Nho Que River at the foot of the Ma Pi Leng Pass. The river originates in the Yunnan mountainous region of China, and enters Vietnam at Seo Lung village, Lung Cu Commune, Dong Van District. The Nho Que River passes through Tu San Abyss Alley and runs along the Ma Pi Leng Pass, like a silk ribbon embracing Seo Lung village.

Next stop is Dong Van town which is nestled in a valley, the heart of the Dong Van Stone Plateau in Ha Giang Province.

Our tour in the afternoon takes us to Dong Van Old Quarter which dates from the early 20th century. Afterwards, visit Vuong Palace (also known as Vua Meo - King of the H’Mong) and Pao's house. Pao's house was featured in a famous Vietnamese movie of 2006 and has now become a must-see destination in Ha Giang Province. It is designed in a typical upland architectural style, embodying the simple way of life of the ethnic minority people in the area.
