BASSAC RIVER RETREAT - 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS

14:00. Your private driver and vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon) and transfer you to Can Tho. Travel along some scenic countryside roads. This area is commonly known as the “rice bowl” of Vietnam, famous for its vast rice fields, orchards, coconut trees, and numerous waterways.

Welcome on board in the evening (Please note: Our services on shore in the Can Tho market hall starts from 17:30 and you're welcomed at any time in the evening. We shall take care of you even if you arrive late)

From now on, you have time. The Bassac gets out to the main river after dark and you are already away from the city.

Dinner is served.

When everybody is on board, the Bassac sets sail, and will anchor for the night away from the trading routes.

Wake at your leisure. We have yoga mats for the early risers to do a sweet Sun Salutation on the deck before breakfast.

Take the time to discover the boat. Or, if you care for it, you are invited to join an early visit in the green: walking or cycling

The Bassac departs and soon turns into a century-old canal towards the greener reaches and meanders of Mang Thit.

Lunch is served while under way.

As the heat of the afternoon begins to wane, you may like to go for a visit on shore.

As the Bassac lits up for the evening, join us if you like to make bread off the Bassac's strand of sourdough –make the dough, shape it, and the baker on board will bake it for Sunday's breakfast.

Dinner is served on the deck as the Bassac strolls to its anchoring point for the night.

Wake at your leisure. Breakfast will be served on the aft deck at your pace.

The Bassac sets sail upstream towards Can Tho, while the ateliers are available, for you to put the final touches on your production if needed.

You may like to transfer to a large sampan for a 2.5 hour-sampan cruise and a visit a Khmer Theravada pagoda (Please be ready and packed by 09:30 anyway, as the crew shall need access to the cabins)

The Bassac takes you to Can Tho to disembark by late morning for our parting lunch on shore at the Lighthouse.

13:30. Meet your private vehicle for a private transfer to Saigon. Drop off at your hotel in Saigon. End of services.
